AM 1620 KENC Radio is the only radio station serving Stayton & Sublimity Oregon that is in english, is heard 24 hours a day and delivers local, regional and state news as well as CNN and Associated Press Radio news. It's the only station that goes to all the city council meetings for both Stayton & Sublimity and then reports on the meetings. It's the only station that gives complete coverage to the chamber of commerce and all events it participates in. It's the only station that gives a complete variety of music programming from country classics, jazz, swing, blues, americana, folk, soft rock and adult contemporary music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We're the only station that has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered. We're the only station that is a low power AM (100 Milliwatts) that serves over 10,000 people in Oregon.
Plus we stream our audio online 24/7 and based on our server statistics, we average a minimum or 1062 listeners 24 hours a day with listeners in the UK, Canada, all over the United States with every state except North Dakota. Every morning from 6:30 to 9:30 AM Ken Cartwright hosts Serendipity Corner Monday through Friday. Each morning is a featured artists, as well as great nationally produced shows like River City Folk with Tom May, Bluegrass Review with Phil Nusbaum, Into the Blue with Terry Herd, and Ken's very popular show on Saturday mornings "Tradio", a buy, sell, trade or giveaway show.
